Are we all in Sin?

The following is a teaching that I hear quite a bit by preachers & teachers within the church body:

We are "ALL" sinners.

I am familiar with the scripture Rom 3:23 For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. And all of Romans 7: including verse 23 & 24 O wretched man that I am, who shall deliver me from the body of this death? and the last part of verse 25 So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Now, are these scriptures speaking about a sinner that has not come to the foot of the cross? Or, are these scriptures speaking to a Blood Washed Child of God?

If we read the very next chapter in Romans chapter 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who "walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. and continues to show us freedom from sin through walking in the Spirit of God.

There are numerous scriptures declaring we are not sinners after conversion and acceptance by the Spirit of God bearing witness with our spirit, that we are a child of God.

If we declare ourselves to be a sinner after the Lord has washed us, then we are making the blood of Jesus of non effect.

Whom the Son sets Free is Free indeed, As Far as the East is from the West, we have Victory in Jesus, if we are defeated by sin, then we are sinners.

Read the following scriptures (There are many others on this subject, but these will do)

Heb. 10:14-31 & verse 38 & 39.

Rom.6:13,19,22 - Rom.12:1 & 2 - 1 Cor.3:16,17 - 1 Cor.6:11 - 1 Cor.15:34 - 2 Cor.7:1 -

2 Cor.10:3-5 -  Eph.5:5 - 1 Thes.3:13 - 1 Thes.4:1-8 - 2 Tim.2:19-22 - Heb.9:13,14 - James 4:4-8 - 1 Peter 1:14-25 - 2 Peter 2:20-22 - 1 John 1:5-10 - 1 John 3:1-12

Above are a few scriptures regarding sin and where a person is, if they continue in sin.

We all know we sometimes stumble and make mistakes, We should strive to be perfect as Jesus was perfect, God's Word tells us to be perfect as he is perfect. But if we do stumble we have a mediator between God and man, the Lord Jesus Christ. We sincerely ask the Lord to forgive us and we can continue our walk on that straight and narrow path to heaven.

Instead of telling the church (believers) we are all losers (not perfect) we should be saying we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus.

We now have the Power of the Holy Ghost to overcome, This is why we All need the fullness of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit to have the Power of God within. (Mat.12:43-49 - Luke 11:24-26) Believers have the armor to overcome, therefore saying we cannot be perfect is "not" what the Lord instructs. But just a teaching to continue to sin and lose out on our salvation.
