The working of the SPIRIT realm from GOD to man. “WHAT A WONDER”.
REV. 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the SPIRIT saith unto the churches.
In the Old Testament we read of Prophets of old that GOD spoke through and done works through.
But also we read that GOD only used certain ones not everyone, but only certain ones.
And then we read in Joel 2:28-32 That Joel Prophecy’s that it shall come to pass afterward, that GOD will pour out his SPIRIT upon all flesh.
And in Isaiah 11:1-4 the Prophecy of the MESSIAH.
Thank the LORD: GOD gave his only begotten son. JESUS CHRIST our Lord and Saviour.
By the SPIRIT was JESUS conceived in Mary, By the SPIRIT was JESUS filled when he came straight way out of the Jordan River, after being baptized by John the Baptist, and GOD said this is My beloved son in whom I am well pleased. Mat. Chap. 3 And then in Mat. 4:1 Then was JESUS led up of the SPIRIT into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
And in Luke 4:14-21 And JESUS returned in the Power of the SPIRIT into Galilee: and there went out a fame of Him through all the region about. And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. And He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up: and, as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up for to read. And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written. THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD IS UPON ME, BECAUSE HE HATH ANOINTED ME TO PREACH THE GOSPEL TO THE POOR: HE HATH SENT ME TO HEAL THE BROKENHEARTED. TO PREACH DELIVERANCE TO THE CAPTIVES, AND RECOVERING OF SIGHT TO THE BLIND. TO SET AT LIBERTY THEM THAT ARE BRUISED. TO PREACH THE ACCEPTABLE YEAR OF THE LORD.
John 14:10.11 believest thou not that I am in the FATHER and the FATHER in ME? The words that I speak unto you I speak not myself: but the FATHER that dwelleth in ME. He doeth the works.
In Zech. 4:6 The word states Not by might, nor by Power, but by my SPIRIT, saith the LORD of hosts.
Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same SPIRIT. And there are differences of administrations, but the same LORD. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same GOD which worketh all in all.
But the manifestation of the SPIRIT is given to every man to profit withal.
For to one is given by the SPIRIT the word of wisdom: to another the word of knowledge by the same SPIRIT;
To another faith by the same SPIRIT; to another the gifts of healing by the same SPIRIT;
To another the working of miracles: to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: But all these worketh that one and the same selfsame SPIRIT, dividing to every man severally as He will.
John 14:12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
We must come to realize it is the SPIRIT of GOD that does the work. “not man”. As the Bible proclaims we cannot even come to JESUS unless the SPIRIT of GOD is drawing us.
And then as it says in John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is everyone that is born of the SPIRIT. ( see Acts 2:1-4).
Also lets look at 1 Cor. 12:13 For by one SPIRIT are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free: and have been all made to drink into one SPIRIT.
The same SPIRIT that was in CHRIST JESUS is now available for “US” to be filled with. ( see Acts 2:38,39 ).
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the HOLY GHOST is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Truly as it says in Acts 10:34,35 Of truth I perceive that GOD is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, (GOD) and worketh righteousness is accepted with him. (GOD)
GOD will use each one that will yield to him, and allow the LORD to work through them.
When we come into the place of complete surrender unto the LORD. He will fill us with the HOLY GHOST and Fire, and there is the manifestation of the infilling by the utterance in tongues as the SPIRIT gives through each one that surrenders all, this is the gift of the HOLY GHOST, not just the tongue but the indwelling of the SPIRIT of GOD the same SPIRIT that was in CHRIST is now dwelling within US!!!
Now lets look at 1 Cor. 12:1-11 again. Verse 7 states the manifestation of the SPIRIT is given to every man to profit withal.
Each of these nine gifts stated here are brought into action by the SPIRIT of GOD not by the flesh.
And in each event of the manifestation, the SPIRIT will bare witness if the manifestation is truly of the SPIRIT or of the flesh. You may say how is this done?
If we are filled with the SPIRIT of GOD with the manifestation of speaking with other tongues as the SPIRIT gives the utterance, and we are walking in that relationship with our Lord JESUS in prayer, in earnest, in fervent desire of closeness, in oneness with him. His SPIRIT will bare witness with our SPIRIT when there is a manifestation by the SPIRIT, because He is the same SPIRIT that dwells within us. And we recognize, made aware, quickened, but if this does not take place, we need to beware, try all things to see if they be of GOD. Even though sometimes we see people acting in the Word, as far as the action goes, but there is no Anointing, the SPIRIT is not bearing witness, (Something is wrong). “Flesh”
But praise GOD when there is a move of GOD within the church body, what a marvel! He is so real.
When there is the word of wisdom given, when there is a word of knowledge given, when we here and see the power through faith, and we witness a miraculous healing before us or through us, the miracles; when we witness true prophecy, what a marvel to wonder at, how wonderful and beautiful is the LORDS work, discerning of spirits, diver kinds of tongues, and interpretation of tongues.
One may ask, can anyone have these gifts? Are they just for certain people?
The Bible proclaims as we read that GOD is no respector of persons, what He’ll do for one He can and will do for another, but as we read in 1 Cor. 12:11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame SPIRIT, dividing to every man severally as He will.
When one of these gifts are in operation it is not done by another SPIRIT, it is done by the SPIRIT that can dwell within us, but do all have each gift in operation in every believer? No, but can this happen? Yes.
When a SPIRIT filled believer is in a place where he or she needs to disern of what SPIRIT they are facing or hearing cannot we depend upon the LORD to reveal this to us? Yes.
Each gift can and is in operation today in most SPIRIT filled believers. But not as much as it needs to be, because before this can take place we must be walking in the SPIRIT, which means the flesh has to die.
We realize some of these gifts are used through certain believers more than others, such as ones in the healing ministry, but the power of the SPIRIT is for all.
In verse 10 of 1 Cor 12 it states the gift of divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
Some people try to use this verse to stand on when they do not speak with tongues as the SPIRIT gives the utterance. The Bible clearly states that the evidence of the infilling with the HOLY GHOST is with the evidence of speaking with other tongues as the SPIRIT gives the utterance. See the following scriptures: Ish. 28:11, Acts 2:1-4, Acts :33, Mark 16:17, Acts 10:45-47, Acts 19:6, 1 Cor. 13:1, 1 Cor 14:2, 1 Cor. 14:15, 18, 21, 39, and Eph. 5:18, 19, Eph. 6:17, 18, Jude 1:20, and Rom. 8:26, 27.
The gift of tongues is used in different ways, This is why the Bible states divers kinds of tongues. In Acts 2:6-8 it says they were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue wherein we were born?
Let’s now read 1 Cor. 14:13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the SPIRIT, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the SPIRIT, and I will sing with the understanding also.
John 16:12-15 JESUS tells us the HOLY SPIRIT will lead us into all truth. The SPIRIT can only lead us if we will allow Him to. If we reject teaching just because we haven’t heard it put that way before, then how do we expect the SPIRIT to teach us?
I have heard testimonies of ministers being in a place not able to speak the language, having an interpreter, the LORD begin to move upon them and they begin to speak in other tongues as the SPIRIT gives the utterance, and afterwards he is told that he spoke the language that was needed there without he himself understanding it.
I’ve even heard testimonies here in the States in a congregation an utterance in tongues is given by a SPIRIT filled believer, and the utterance is understood by someone that needed to hear from GOD, and GOD spoke to them in their own language even though the one giving the utterance cannot understand it.
And other times and utterance is given in church through a SPIRIT filled believer, which we hear praying in the SPIRIT on other occasions in church during worship service but yet here they are giving an utterance in tongues for interpretation, and the interpretation is given.
Too many times people try to tie down the SPIRIT by saying what He can do and what He can’t do.
I believe with all my heart that any believer that is yielded to the SPIRIT can be used through the gifts of the SPIRIT. For example a group of believers in a congregation having church, and the SPIRIT of GOD begins to move, One of the SPIRIT filled believers is quickened by the SPIRIT to pray in the SPIRIT, as this believer yields to the SPIRIT and begins to speak. The SPIRIT begins to reveal to another yielded SPIRIT filled believer what is being said, and then this yielded vessel declares to the church what the SPIRIT is saying this day and hour, to that particular church congregation.
It is purely a spiritual operation. The same HOLY SPIRIT who inspired the speaking in other tongues, the words flow form the SPIRIT rather than the natural mind, and also is the same with the interpretation, it is inspirational, ecstatic, spontaneous. As the utterance, when speaking in tongues, is not conceived in the mind, but is given by the SPIRIT, and not the natural man.
And this applies to all the different gifts of the SPIRIT, I don’t believe we just stop at nine gifts. The SPIRIT is always working through those that will believe. PRAISE GOD FOREVER. See Rom. 12:6-8 and 1 Cor. 12:28.
(1) THE WORD OF WISDOM. The utterance of wisdom. First we must go by what the New Testament reveals to us about “wisdom”. First of all lets look at James 1:5. If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of GOD, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
One who interprets dreams and giving wise (sage) advice see Acts 7:10; a meaning of uncomprehendible vision like Rev. 17:9, also one who is wise for management of affairs, see Acts 6:3l giving the gospel with all wisdom see Col. 1:28; Using wisdom dealing with those outside, see Col. 4:5; Godly and upright living see James 3:13,17; the SPIRIT will put just what is needed to be said, if we will allow, see Luke 21:15; & Mat. 13:54. The SPIRIT will bare witness see Mark 6:2 & Acts 6:10.
As a Christian, like faith we have a measure of wisdom see 1 Cor. 1:30; In GOD is all the wisdom, Col. 2:3, & Rom. 11:33. In 1 Kings 3:5-14 Solomon was asked a question by the LORD, ask what shall I give thee? And Solomon ask for an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad.
And in 1 Kings 4:30, 31 the Bible tells us that Solomon had more wisdom than any man.
(2) THE WORD OF KNOWLEDGE
Prov 14:14 The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness.
John 9:25 He answered and said. Whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that, whereas I was blind, now I see.
Rom 15:14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
Col. 2:3,4 (GOD) In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, least any man should beguile you with enticing words.
1 Cor 14:6 Now brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?
1 Cor 14:24,25 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all: And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.
1 Cor 1:5 That in everything ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;
1 Cor 12:8 For to one is given by the SPIRIT the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same SPIRIT;
1 Cor. 13:2,8 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
Verse 8; Charity never faileth; but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. (Love is above all).
2 Cor 2:14 Now thanks be unto GOD, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the saviour of his knowledge by us in every place.
2 Peter 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge

(3) FAITH
See 1 Kings 18:30-46 (Elijah acting in faith against the prophets of Baal). (Elijah prayed for rain).

Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to GOD must believe that he is and that he is, a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Mat 17:20,21 And JESUS said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.
Mat 21:21 JESUS answered and said unto them. Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Mark 11:22-24 And JESUS answering saith unto them. Have faith in GOD. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

So then after the LORD had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of GOD. And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the LORD working with them and confirming the word with signs following. A-men.

(4) GIFTS OF HEALING
Mat 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
(5) THE WORKING OF MIRACLES
Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the HOLY GHOST is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Acts 5:12-15 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch, And of the rest durst no man join himself to them: but the people magnified them. And believers were the more added to the LORD. Multitudes both of men and women).
Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
(6) PROPHECY
Acts 15:32 And Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, exhorted the brethren with many words, and confirmed them. (strengthened them)
Verse 24,25 But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he judged of all: And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship GOD, and report the GOD is in you of a truth.
Jer 23:16 Thus saith the LORD of hosts. Hearken NOT unto the words of the prophets that prophesy unto you: they make you vain: (worthless) they speak a vision of their own heart, and not out of the mouth of the LORD.
Ezek 13:2,3 Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel that prophesy, and say thou unto them that prophesy out of their own hearts, Hear ye the word of the LORD; Thus saith the LORD GOD; Woe unto the foolish phophets, that follow their own spirit, and have seen nothing:

(7) DISCERNING OF SPIRITS
1 John: - 4:1-6 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of GOD: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. Hereby know ye the SPIRIT of GOD: Every spirit that confesseth that JESUS CHRIST is come in the flesh is of GOD: And every spirit that confesseth not that JESUS CHRIST is come in the flesh is not of GOD: and this is the spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. Ye are of GOD, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world. They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them. We are of GOD: he that knoweth GOD heareth us; he that is not of GOD heareth not us. Hereby know we the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, and the spirit of error.
Mat. 7:15-23 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Not everyone that saith unto me LORD, LORD, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my FATHER which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in they name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me ye that work iniquity.
John 1:47 JESUS saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, behold an Israelite indeed; in whom is no guile;
John 2:24,25 But JESUS did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, and needed not that any should testify of man; for he knew what was in man.
John 3:2 The same came to JESUS by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from GOD; for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except GOD be with him.
Mat 27:5 For many shall come in MY NAME, saying I am CHRIST; and shall deceive many.
1 Tim 4:1-3 Now the SPIRIT speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils: Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding of abstain from meats, which GOD hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

Acts 16:16-18 And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high GOD, which shew unto us the way of salvation. And this did she many days, But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of JESUS CHRIST to come out of her, And he came out the same hour.

(8) DIVERS KINDS OF TONGUES
1 Cor 14:2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto GOD: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.
1 Cor 14:13-16 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
1 Cor 14:22 Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not, but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not but for them which believe.
Acts 2:4-8 And they were all filled with the HOLY GHOST, and began to speak with other tongues, as the SPIRIT gave them utterance. And there were dwelling a Jerusalem, Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came to gather, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marveled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
1 Cor 13:P1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
Jude 20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the HOLY GHOST.
1 Cor 12:30 Have all the gifts of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret? (It must be noted here that where it says do all speak with tongues, it is referring to an utterance in the church for interpretation this is not saying that only some SPIRIT filled believers speak with other tongues, see the following scriptures: Ish 28:11, Acts 2:1-4, Acts 2:33, Mark 16:17, Acts 10:45-47, Acts 19:6, 1 Cor 13:1 & 14:2, 15,18,21,39, Eph 5:18,19, Eph 6:17,18 Jude 1:20, Rom 8:26,27).
(9) INTERPRETATION OF TONGUES
1 Cor 14:5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
1 Cor 14:13-15 & 22-25 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret. For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the SPIRIT, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the SPIRIT, and will sing with the understanding also.

If therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? The LORD tells us to pray for the gifts, now more then ever the church needs to here what the SPIRIT is saying unto the churches. For those that are led by the SPIRIT of GOD; are the sons of GOD.
Acts 1:2 Until the day in which he was taken up, after that he through the HOLY GHOST had given commandments unto the apostles whom he had chosen.
