Healing
Write-Up:
First of all I believe we need to establish that it is the Lord’s will to heal. This is not something that we should question God, and ask Him if it is His will when His word declares that it IS His will to heal.
It’s like what T.
L. Osborn spoke about this matter: “Read the will.”
If we wish to know
what is in a person’s will, we read the will. Suppose a lady would say, “My
husband, who was very rich, has passed away. I wish I knew whether he left me
anything in his will.” I would say to her, Why do you not read his will and
see?”
Testament means a
person’s will. The Bible contains God’s last will and testament, in which He
bequeaths to us all of the blessings of redemption. Since it is His last will
and testament, anything later is forgery.
If healing is in
God’s will for us, then to say that God is not willing to heal all as His will
states so clearly, would be to change the will – and that, after the death of
the testator.
Jesus is not only
the testator who died, but He was resurrected and is also the mediator of the
will. (Heb. 9:15; 12:24). He is our advocate (1 John 2:1-2), and He will not
beat us out of our inheritance, as some earthly advocates might do. He is our
representative at the right hand of God.
Let’s look at the
following scriptures:
Mark 1:40,41; Luke
5:12-14; Mat. 8:2,3. And behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying,
Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and
touched him, saying, I WILL; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was
cleansed.
Mat. 4:23. And
Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the
gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease among the people.
Mat. 8:16. When the
even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils; and
he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick.
Mat. 9:35. And
Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease among the people.
Mat. 12:15. But
when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes
followed him, and he healed them all.
Mat. 14:35,36. And
when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that
country round about, and brought unto him all that were diseased; and besought
him that they might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as touched
were mad perfectly whole.
Mat. 15:30,31. And
great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind,
dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he
healed them. Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to
speak the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they
glorified the God of Israel.
Mat. 19:2. And
great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
Mat. 21:14. And the
blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
We must come to
realize that God doesn’t love one more than he does another. Let’s look at
Acts 10:34. Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that
God is no respector of persons: and in verse 35, it states: But in every nation
he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him. So, if we
are walking in a relationship with Him we are His children, and as children of
God, He has paid that price for not only our salvation, but our deliverance and
healing.
Let’s read Isaiah
53:1-5. Who hath believed our report? And to whom is the arm of the Lord
revealed? For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out
of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness: and when we shall see him,
there is no beauty that we should desire him. He is despised and rejected of
men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our
faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Surely he hath borne
our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of
God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised
for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him: and with his
stripes we are healed.
And in Mat.
8:16,17. When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed
with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were
sick: That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
HIMSELF TOOK OUR INFIRMITIES, AND BARE OUR SICKNESS.
”
And BARE OUR SICKNESS” I remember when I first got saved, The Lord delivered
me instantly from alcohol, but I
still smoked cigarettes. I had
smoked since I was sixteen years old, but I knew I HAD to quite smoking, because
I remembered what happened when I was saved in my twenties. Those cigarettes
were a stumbling block, every time I wanted to witness and speak about the Lord
there that cigarette would be in my hand, condemnation would set in and it
defeated me. Even though when I first got saved in my twenties
I came
from the church that I had just excepted Jesus in my heart, I got in the car and
pulled my pack of cigarettes out of the glove compartment and put one in my
mouth ready to light it, and then there was this voice that came to my heart and
said “Put that down”. Well I hesitated
and then lit the cigarette, therefore I
grieved the HOLY SPIRIT
and that was it. Many times after that day
I tried to quit, but no success. But then around Oct. 1989 The Lord called my
name again and I listened, and came back, thank God he is able to graft them in
again.
So here I
was saved again and knowing either I come with everything I have or I
just as well give
it up now. But praise God
I was not giving up. I determined
in my heart that I was going to
give God ALL my heart this time, no more part time Christian, or halfway,
but all the way. They can call me a fanatic or anything the world chooses to
call me but I am selling out completely to God. So here I was in this
construction trailer knowing I had to quit smoking, but How? It had been around
two weeks since I had given my heart to
the Lord in that very same construction trailer. Then this other construction
worker said to me that he was quitting smoking, and
I began to watch him, he laid down the cigarettes, and picked up chewing
tobacco, I thought to myself, this guy
who doesn’t even know the Lord can quit smoking what am I waiting for? So that
early evening on my way home from work which was a bout 45 min. -to a hour drive
I began to cry out to the Lord, so many times in the past I would beg the Lord
to deliver me, with no success but
this time I began to stand on his word and begin
to proclaim, this was a cry with all I had in me, with tears running down my
face as I came with all my heart to the Lord.” He
revealed to me a vision.” It was JESUS on that cross, and Jesus
reached out hi s hand to me and said “GIVE
IT TO ME”, and immediately I knew all I have
to do is put my burden in His hands and He would take them from me. The Spirit
of God revealed this so real to me. Even though I had heard that scripture; By
His Stripes we are healed, It only became real to me at that moment the Lord
revealed it to MY spirit, only after coming with all my heart and all my soul.
He delivered me from cigarettes that day. I laid down those cancer sticks
and never picked them up again, Praise
be to God.
The promise of His
word is to heal us; lets look at some more of these scriptures:
Exodus 15:26 And
said If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt
do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and
keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have
brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
Exodus 23:25 And ye
shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and
I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.
Deut. 7:14,15 Thou
shalt be blessed above all people: there shall not be male or female barren
among you, or among your cattle.
And the Lord will
take away from thee all sickness, and will put none of the evil diseases of
Egypt, which thou knowest upon thee; but will lay them upon all them that hate
thee.
Psalms 103:1-3
Bless the Lord, 0 my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless
the Lord, 0 my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine
iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
Psalm 107:19-22
Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he saveth them out of their
distresses. He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their
destructions.
Oh that men would
praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of
men! And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his
works with rejoicing.
Isaiah 53:5 But he
was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the
chastisement of our peace upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Mat. 8:16,17 When
the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils:
and he cast out the spirits with his word and healed all that were sick: That it
might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took
our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
James 5:14-16 Is
any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray
over him, anointing him with oil in the
name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord
shall raise him up; and if he have committed sin, they shall be forgiven him.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be
healed. The Effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
Pet. 2:24 Who his
own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins,
should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
The scriptures we
just read are the Lords’ will for each of us to receive, not only his WILL but
also his WORD; as Psalms 107 declares He sent His Word and healed them. and in
Mat. 8:16 it declares He cast out the spirits with His Word.
We must come to
understand there is a warfare we will go through before we receive what we need
from God. We are not doing warfare with God, as we have already established - is
Gods’ will for us to be healed. The warfare is with unbelief, and false
teaching saying that this type of manifestation is only for building the church
at the beginning of Christianity after Jesus’ death. Nowhere in the Bible is
this shown to be true as far as the promise of healing ending, and is no longer
for each of us. Just like it says in Mark 16:17-18; And these SIGNS shall follow
them THAT BELIEVE; In MY NAME shall they CAST OUT devils; they shall speak with
NEW TONGUES; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it
shall not hurt them; they shall LAY HANDS on the sick, and they SHALL RECOVER.
(Some say this is not for today) but the word of God is forever.
Also in John 14:12;
Verily, verily, I say unto you, HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME, the works that I do
shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my
Father.
I
don’t know about you but I believe,
So therefore Jesus is talking directly to those that believe, like his words
proclaim. Those that teach otherwise
are of the same ones where Jesus said he could do no mighty works there because
of their unbelief. (Mark 6:5,6.)
I remember when I
was a young boy and my dad (an Assembly of God preacher) and mom took myself and
my brother and another friend of mine and a blind lady to a T.L. Osborn crusade
in San Antonio, Texas. We young boys sat behind my dad and mom and the blind
lady sat directly in front of me during the service, and as T.L.continued to
minister the presence of the Lord was very real,
T.L. told all the
people to stand and raise their hands and ask God to restore what ever the
affliction was to be made whole. As T.L. begin to pray and call for the healing
virtue of Jesus to flow through the people, this blind lady in front of me let
out a screech and set down. Well the service ended and we all were in the car on
the way home, and my mother ask this blind lady that was riding in the front
seat with them, what had happened, and the lady said that while she was standing
there and the man was praying, suddenly she began to see light and she got
scared and sat down.
I believe there is
something we must do if we are going to receive healing from the Lord.
I believe this lady would have been healed completely if she would have went
forward in faith and accepted what God was giving her, but she did not. She
backed away. The angel of the Lord told Lot and his family DON’T look back,
when they were being delivered out of Sodom & Gomorrah, but as we read in
the word Lots’ wife looked back and therefore was not delivered.
I remember another
thing that happened just after I got saved this last time; I had this van that
kept having a short in the a1ternator, it was not always causing a problem but
sometimes the battery was not charging as it should, but this one day on the way
home from work in Arlington, Texas on 360 in the fast lane the traffic was
backed up and as I slowed down the van died, and as I tried to start it, it
would not, so I pulled over to the side of the road, next to the fast lane. As I
sat there I begin to read my little new Testament I had with me, while I was
giving the battery a little time to maybe rebuild a little charge, but after
waiting awhile, and trying it, it was not going to start. There I was, all I
needed was a jump from another car, but the way I was parked this seemed to be
impossible. I was too far from the concrete embankment for their cables
to reach, and as far as getting a jump from someone on my side of the road, would
be seemingly impossible, with the traffic there was, and the room on the
shoulder of the road would not
allow enough room.
But as I set there
I begin to think of Gods word, like in John 15 saying if His word abides in us
and we abide in Him, we shall ask what we will and it shall be done.
So I laid my hands
on the dashboard of that van and prayed that the Lord would charge that battery.
Then I tried it, there was nothing. So I thought back to the times when I was a
young boy when I had been in tent revivals and church services when I witnessed
the power of God in manifestation, I seen a woman have a demon cast out of her.
I’ve seen cancers fall into my dad’s hand when he prayed, so many different
miracles that I had witnessed, and here I was, sitting in this van.
So once again I
placed my hands on the dash of that van and said the devil is a liar, and I
begin to pray with all the intensity that I had within me, just like it states
in James
5:16; The effectual
fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. As I put my hand fourth to
turn that key I knew I done my part, I prayed the prayer of faith. When I turned
the key the van DID NOT start, I sat back and just sat there, I knew I prayed
with all my heart. Then not two minutes later there was a car that pulled in
front of me, I got out of the van and walked over to this young looking man that
I had never met before, and explained to him all I need is a jump but the way
the traffic is I don’t see, and he interrupted me and said that its not a
problem; He said my battery is right here, as he pointed behind him, this was a
Corvette and the battery was right behind the drivers seat. So he backed up and
we connected the cables, and Praise God it fired off. I was in amazement, a kind
of shock, but a very, very happy kind of shock, God answered my prayer.
I remember when my
little girl, Amanda Kay was born, they told us one leg was shorter than the
other, that she would have to wear elevated shoes, and they also told us that
the clump of fat that was on the upper part of her left leg would have to be
surgically removed when she was around three years of age. As they were telling
us this I begin to reject this, because I know what the Bible says on these
things, Like in Exodus 15:26 the latter half, I AM THE LORD WHO HEALETH THEE,
I rejected the word
of the doctors, in Rom. 3:3, for what if some did not believe? shall their
unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true,
but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy
sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
So I begin the
spiritual battle against this thing, even though by looking at the situation, I
knew that it was true, but like Elisha He hid his face, so he would not see the
circumstances around him, (1 Kings 18:1-_5) I refused to receive this situation.
We took Amanda back to the doctors, and they took x-rays and were looking them
over, I was in the corridor outside where they were looking at the x-rays, and I
was praying in the Spirit.
The doctors came to
the door and called us over and told us that they could find no problem at all.
PRAISE GOD! The healing power of God. And that clump of fat that we were told
would need to be surgically removed when she was three; it shriveled up and went
away within the first year, with no medication and no surgery. But healed by the
GREAT PHYSICIAN.
I could have
accepted the situation that the doctors told us and that would have been it. The
same as that van after I had prayed the first time I could have just stopped and
gave up. I could have just as easily said to myself, it must not be the Lords
will. But thank God I know that it is the Lords will to heal.
Let's look at some
more scriptures on this:
Jer. 30:17; For I
WILL restore health unto thee, and I WILL heal thee of thy wounds, saith the
Lord; because they called thee an outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man
seeketh after.
Proverbs 3:5-8
Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. It shall be
health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
Also read chapter
29 and chapter 30 of Deuteronomy, A blessing and a curse is set before us, it is
up to us which we shall be under.
John 5:1-9 After
this there was a feast of the Jews; and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. Now there is
at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue
Bethesda, having five porches. In these lay a great multitude of impotent
(crippled) folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the
water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made
whole of whatsoever disease he had. And a certain man was there which had an
infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie and knew that he had
been now a long time in that case, He saith unto him whilt thou be made whole?
The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled,
to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another stepeth down before me.
Jesus saith unto
him, Rise take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and
took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the SABBATH.
Jesus ask the man;
“Whilt thou be made whole”’: and so many times we do as this man did, he
had some kind of excuse, instead of Just saying “yes”. Jesus is asking each
one that is afflicted in any way “Will you be made whole today, right now”.
If our answer is yes, then we can be. We begin by
acting on doing
what ever we could not do, “acting in faith” that
Jesus is healing us NOW! .
Let's read here in
Acts 14:7-10: And there they preached the gospel. And there sat a certain man at
Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who
never had walked:
The same heard Paul
speak: who steadfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be
healed, Said with a loud voice. Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and
walked.
He heard the
“WORD”, and acted on the” WORD”, and the “WORD” healed him.
Lets read these
following scriptures and we will understand that there is something that WE must
do to be healed.
James :17,20; faith
without works is dead.

you my faith, by my works

“Acting in faith
on Gods word.” As Psalm 103 proclaims; Forget not all His benefits: Who
forgiveth ALL thine iniquities; who healeth ALL thy diseases:
Mat. 1:3-36; And
when they were gone over, they came into the land of Gennesaret. And when the
men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country
round about, and brought unto Him all that were diseased; And besought Him they
might only touch the hem of his garment: and as many as TOUCHED were made
perfectly whole.
In Mat. 1:25-33;
The Bible proclaims that Jesus was walking on the water in the fourth watch of
the night, and Jesus said be not afraid to the disciples when they seen him and
they were afraid, But when Jesus said it is I, Peter said Lord if it be thou,
bid me to come unto thee on the water. And Jesus said COME.
Jesus is saying
COME to each and everyone that has enough faith to get out of the boat of their
circumstances and believe Gods word.
Psalms 107:20 He
sent His WORD, and healed them, ...
Mat. 8:8; latter
part.. But speak the WORD only, and my servant shall be healed.
Mat. 8:16; latter
part.. They brought unto Him many that were possessed with devils: and He cast
out the spirits with His WORD and
healed ALL that were sick:
There are many more
scriptures we could go to and talk about, many more testimonies we could share,
but I believe enough has been said, In closing let’s remember what the Word of
God says in Heb. 13:8 JESUS CHRIST THE SAME YESTERDAY, AND TO DAY, AND FOR EVER.
James 5:16; later
part.. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
To pray with ALL of
our heart and ALL of our soul.
Condensed Healing Write-Up:
Here is some writings I did on healing, I know there are those that don't get healed, due to what ever reason? We don't understand all the happenings in the Spirit realm. But yet I do believe it is God's "will" to heal. I'm not speaking of twisting God's arm, but standing on the promises of God's word.
The reason I am sending this write up to you all, is to get your input of agreement or not? I presented this on a list and they would not even post what I had written. Below is what I wrote:
First of all I believe we need to establish, That it "IS" the Lords will to heal. This is not something that we should question God, and ask him if? It
is His will when his Word declares that it "IS" God's will to heal. It's like what T.L. Osborn spoke about this matter; "Read the Will"
If we wish to know what is in a person's will, we read the will. If we want to know God's will on any subject, we read the His will.
Suppose a lady would say, "My husband, who was very rich, has passed away. I wish I knew whether he left me anything in his will." I would say to her,
"why do you not read his will and see?
Testament means a person's will. The Bible contains God's last will and
testament, in which He bequeaths to us all of the blessings of redemption.
Since it is His last will and testament, anything later is forgery.
If healing is in God's will for us, then to say that God is not willing to
heal all as His will states so clearly, would be to change the will -- and
that, after the death of the testator.
Jesus is not only the testator who died; but He was resurrected and is also the mediator of the will (Heb.9:15; 12:24).
He is our advocate (1 John 2:1-2), and He will not beat us out of our

Here are some scriptures regarding Gods will.
